It's so interesting to see the similarities among cat families. My cat Deets and Uschi are very similar. Deets reacted much the same as Uschi when we got two rescue kittens in that he got all serious. He also felt like he had to be a disciplinarian and teach them how to behave. They in turn worshipped him. Now, however, Deets is back to usual self and plays with 2 year old cats, as well as me. He's a frisky 9 year old.
Very interesting.
We have also noticed that the personalities of the kittens holds very true as they age. It is amazing that at just a few weeks old you can get a good feel of what the cats will be like when older. T, U, & V's personalities are so similar to when we first met them.
