The boys and their Eucalyptus Trees
We are fortunate to have a few Eucalyptus trees on our property. We were pretty surprised to be able to grow them in Oregon, they actually do very well. Their broad shiny blue-green, green, and red leaves are a nice mix with the many conifers. The Eucalyptus trees give off a great scent that totally attracts the boys. On one of our first trail walks we came across one of the trees and the boys went wild(er). They seem to perk up even more,... running around the tree, jumping against it, then shooting off into the tall grass. This was the first type of tree to get them interested in tree climbing (future blogs on their developing skills). The other day when out maintaining the "boys' trails" I mowed under the the Eucalyptus trees and pruned off the little sharp dead branches, making them more accessable for the boys and for blog pictures. >;-)
gazing up into the waving leaves
Soon turns into biting and
pulling on the peeling bark
Tanj watches while under the cover
of dangling leaves
While Uschi springs from behind a branch
Only to pose
Tanj looks up
Uschi motivates himself
and they both

I love your blog! I have started to check it everyday and it has even inspired me to start my own! Your cats are STUNNING and I will be lucky if mine are anywhere close to how gorgeous Tanj and Uschi are! Thank you for sharing and keep posting! Dodie
Thank you so much for your feedback on the boys and their blog. We are trying to keep the boys grounded, but their blog is getting viewed from all over the world,... We don't want it to go to their heads,... but we do catch Uschi admiring himself in the mirror,... future blogs. >;-)
We are all having a great time with the blog and each other.
