Last week's
wind storm took down our driveway gate. The pole was already rotted off, the wind just forced my hand into replacing it. I dug the hole and battled with the saturated ground draining into the hole. Anyway, I got the pole in, plumb, with a bunch of concrete, 240 pounds and let it set. However, it was cold over the next three days, temps below 30 degrees, the concrete didn't set. Finally, after about four days, the concrete was set and the gate is back up and deterring visitors,... >;-)
On one of our walks...

Uschi spotted something new,...

What is this?

He stood on it,...

sat on it,...

I must admit that before reading the "Adventure", I perused the pictures looking for their *handprints* set in the concrete!
If only I had poured the concrete during the day, that might have happened. >;-)
