Cat on a hot tin roof! love it...do they slide on it at all? I would be afraid of them sliding right off.

They usually do well on the metal roof. They get the best traction when there is just a little moisture for their pads to get sticky,... Vladi is the only one to slide off,... it was spectacular, sliding all the way from the peak, standing upright and not scrambling,... it was like he was skiing down a ski jump then launched off.

Oh my that would have been hilarious to see. We are getting prices to possibly put a metal roof on right now. The only problem is that one part of our roof is a low slope (3-12) so I'm not sure we will be able to do it. I was thinking that if my bengal Cheetah got on the roof he would end up in the pool if he slid off. We had a racoon fall off the roof a couple of years ago... lucky, he was a good swimmer.

I would think metal would be fine with 3-12.

Well, Uschi has shown that he can swim, Birthday 2010.

The boys have been on our metal roof a lot without much slipping.
