Blog Anniversary

Happy Blog Anniversary to

The Adventures of Tanjiro & Uschi-Swirl

Today marks the one year anniversary and 391st posting to our photo-blog, of our now 15 month old Bengal brothers, Tanjiro and Uschi-Swirl. Looking back, we never planned on blogging about the boys, I didn't even really know what a blog was prior to all of these adventures. A blog was recommended as a way to not swamp our friends with regular email updates (a subtle hint), and has become our way of archiving our adventures.

We have had the pleasure of meeting many, many new people [19,700 "unique visitors" as of today (thanks to all of you for visiting!!)], from all over the world. We have learned many things about; digital photography, holiday history, the boys, and each other. Lesley has been motivated to work on her painting skills and is studying Chinese (in the hopes of a 2008 Olympics trip), I have "finished" up some things around the house, we have installed an internet connection at home, and we have even purchased and are developing our own web-domain,... This entire adventure has helped to strengthen and keep our small family active and connected.

Our lives have been transformed since the boys joined us in our little strawbale house. We no longer sleep in (I sleep with ear plugs), Lesley continues to have "spy adventure dreams" but now they involve the boys almost every night, the house is often active with running and "howling," we rush home from work to see the boys, we go outside with them every single day, always with a camera in hand taking pictures. Then when we do come in, it is time for food and an excited wait while the camera is downloaded,... hoping for a few "blog-worthy" shots. We are constantly experiencing new adventures with the boys, as taking out DaBird the 10th day in a row becomes a bit tiring for all involved (well maybe not Tanji). Lesley and I often find ourselves looking back through the blog laughing,... regularly when we are sitting on the couch with the boys right next to us.

Basically, Tanjiro and Uschi-Swirl have taken over our lives and we are having a ball !!!

This is what our walks look like,
"behind the scenes."

I'm always on my belly taking shots,...
(into the sun)

Lesley was shooting back towards me,
with the sun on her back.

Whatcha' doin' Uschi ?

Just hanging out on the well-house roof.

Daaaad,... I'm ready to run...

What are you sniffing Uschi ?

Tanj and "his" mommyyy!!

The boys head off into the tall grass.

Tanji surveys his domain,...

and Uschi checks out the different blooms.

Thanks to all of you who have joined us on our
on-going adventure.

Lavs, Les, Tanj, & Uschi
