Pacified

On the advice from a friend in Switzerland, we decide to get the boys a pacifier ("comforter") to try as a toy. Les looked a little traumatized after returning from the giant "baby aisle" at the local grocery store, apparently there were a whole lot of pacifiers to choose from. We went with the smallest and simplest and tried it on our baby cats. We started with Uschi, because he has to be the first one to inspect new things (or there can be a lot of pouting)...

Here you go Usch, you were our first baby cat...

"I'm no baby."
Uschi kept walking on his wheel.

How about you Tanji?
You were our second baby cat...

This looks yummy...

Tanj has the whole thing backwards,
but he does not seem too concerned,...

Oh, this is good for kicking too!

Sometimes Tanji "buries" the things he likes,
to save them for later enjoyment...

I must bury this new toy!

You can try to bury it all you want Tanj,
but the babiest cat needs to try it too...

Here you go Vladi, our third baby cat!

Vladi knows exactly what this is all about
and suckles like crazy.

This is the perfect Vladimir toy.

We thought the pacifier excitement had subsided a bit,
but Mr. Uschi-Swirl has re-thought his pacifier decision...

Uschi is getting all excited, paws in the air
and chirping like a true kitten...

Mine, all mine!

I laugh so hard, a pacifier for my kitties? Then Kinny started giving me a dirty look, he has his "pacifier", a very soft blanket that he buries his nose in, purrs and kneads until he falls over hypnotizied. I help by gently rubbing his back or belly It's nightly ritual and very comforting (for both of us).
Hugs,
