April showers have brought us plenty of May flowers.
The borage in the garden is already bursting open...
Bees are visiting the forget-me-nots...
Wild irises are scattered on the septic field...
Columbine hugs close to the house...
Daisies are sprinkled by our front door...
Oregon grape peaks out between the conifers...
Apple blossoms are fully open...
And violas cover the old vegetable beds.
The moss sporophytes are turning white,
signaling the end of spring.
As the dandelion seeds blow away.
The woolly bear caterpillars have come out of their winter
hibernation, munching on clover leaves,
Our own big woolly bear is doing the same.

so beautiful, so colorful, so wonderful ! and so "wolly beary" charming.
That is one wooly bear I'd take home.
Oh, how beautiful -- and the photos of the flowers and caterpillar are quite pretty, too!
Gorgeous photos worthy of painting. How inspirational.
