Uschi's Boudoir

Uschi has ownership of a lot of things around our one-room house.
Its his wheel, his scratching post, his litter box, his Dad...

He also seems to get most of the blog postings,
because he tends to hang very close to me when outside,
and whenever the camera comes out, so does Uschi.

And now add to the list, his window boudoir.
We hung the blanket to block light,
and Uschi quickly made the space his own.

A little opening to watch the birdies,
a comfy towel to lay on,
and a food bowl in easy reach.

Hiiii!

Oooh, its my loose string!

A subtle request for petting...

And a not-so-subtle request for petting.

Uschi can work the fringe,...
he's here one minute...

And gone the next.... Where's Uschi?

The sunlight heats the window cave to perfect sleepy temperature.
Going, Going....

Sweet Dreams

It may look like Uschi is sound asleep,
but if you get closer...

He starts to roll on his back...

His paws knead the air...

And he gives little "silent meows" like a kitten.

Maybe Uschi is dreaming of belly-pets.

on his window cat tree,

Window Dressing

The boys have a window in the bathroom without a screen that they can use to jump into and out of their kennel. Tanji and Vladi think this is great fun, and use the window opening often during the day. At night we close that window and open a screened window to try to keep out the large numbers of moths that come to visit. Last week when we went to brush our teeth we noticed that Vladi had learned a new trick, perching on the tiny outer windowsill...

Vladi is sitting outside the window,
staring at nothing, and happy as can be.
That's our boy!

Are you guys laughing at me?

Someone is approaching from the inside,
and Vladi looks a little annoyed...

Its Tanji wanting to play too.

Vladi doesn't want company and jumps down,
but its just a little while later and...

Vladi is back on his new perch.

Opening The Windows

The weather has been nicer, so we have been
opening the windows. The bathroom window that opens into
the boys kennel is a favorite because we don't have a
screen on it,... so they jump in and out all day.

Tanji climbed up on top of the window,...

then thought he made a mistake in judgment.

Ummm, a little help here.
