Snowy Evening

It has been really cold for us, with days only reaching around 35 degrees Fahrenheit. Yesterday it started snowing while we were at work, it was so cold that the snow came down as big soft flurries instead of sleet or hail. When we got home, it was later than we usually take the boys outside, but the snow accumulating on the ground was bright enough to take the boys out for a quick trip into the winter wonderland. At first all three ran around the house, excited to be out in the snow...

Vladi and Uschi touch bases
under the cover of the roof overhang.

Vladi is standing on the drier grass, and he has
had enough of the cold, so he heads to the front
door and sits down until we let him back inside.

The big boys are still doing fast loops around the house
as the snow steadily falls to the ground.

Tanji zooms one way...

and Uschi zooms another way.

Vladi is watching from a kennel perch,
standing on a spot not covered in snow.

The snow is coming down harder.

Tanji gives a final run around the house and
then heads to the kennel door to be let back inside.

Uschi is sniffing everything, and is
sprinkled with snowflakes.

Where are you going Uschi?

His tail and leash disappear around the corner...

Uschi is having a great time, so we
head out further into the snowy night.

Play Time

All three brothers were lined up,

T & V focused on the moving toy,
Uschi focused on the camera.

T & V still tracking the toy,
Uschi,... well, he marches to his own rhythm.

Now everyone is on task.

T & V watch the mouse toy,
U watches V.

T & V show a little too much interest in action for U.

I think I'll be over here.

It is on,...

Rubbing shoulders,...

Did you push me out of the way ?

Uschi Lunge

Uschi spots a potential "vermin toy"

Uschi's patented low level lunge.

Belly flop,...

another lunge.

Good form but no vermin,... So

U is off at high speed,

to the septic field hill for more stalking,

with his two brothers.

Hmmmm, what next?

Time to sit and watch with mom.

Vladimir

When we first met Vladimir he loved to run

on the wheels at CDNW, but our wheel is
Uschi's wheel, and Uschi does not share.

Recently, however, both Tanji and Vladi have
pushed their way onto the wheel.

Look at me,... I'm growing-up.

Careful steps,....

(Guys, can't you see the color of my fur,...?)

Now my feet are all dirty,...

Oh well,... I might as well

check out this mud "puddle."

Oooo, this mud is squishy between my toes.

Now my feet are really dirty.

But,

I can still climb the big oak trees.

and I've got a cool spotted "back-V"
and a long thick tail.

That was a good outside walk, therefor it is
time to head inside with my muddy feet
and find a good place for a nap.

How about curling up among the
bed pillows on the sheets.

What,...?
these sheets are nice and silky on my belly.
