Roses for Rememberance

Memorial Day is the perfect time to remember.

Since our first house, we have planted roses over our
lost loved ones, mostly our "bunnies" (pet rats).

Some of these roses have grown head-height...

...and can be seen from the road.

Roses were planted by the previous owner too...

Beautiful and hearty Rosa rugosas that bloom months long.

Wild roses grow all over, in shades of pink...

Cascading by the fences...

...and forming big clumps in the field.

All the roses tell stories,
and its wonderful to see them bloom again every year.

Good eye, that's Uschi in the background, he's always been our flower boy.
