Vegas I: Caesars Nobu, Bacchanal Buffet, Forum Shops

We're on the plane to Vegas!
There's stunning Crater Lake below.

We're doing something different this time: three nights
in three different hotels, for maximum variety.  Our first
stop is the new Nobu boutique tower in Caesar's Palace.

Which we are already having too much fun to take photos of.

Bottom line: great location (entrance by Cleopatra's barge),
business center and fitness room on a separate floor,
nice room but a bit pared down on amenities.
We actually had a really nice view of the strip from our window.

Once we're settled in, its off to Caesar's pools
and Appian way on our way to...

The Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars.

Bottom Line: This buffet is comfortable and worth it for the
dessert bar and a few stand-out dishes, particularly the Italian and
American-style offerings.  Don't miss the creamy mushroom soup.

And this mango cup, whoa, it haunts me.

We linger for hours, sampling and savoring, and also
doing some serious biology brainstorming, from blood vessel
display windows to Stanley the Stegasaurus lecture appearances
(the delicious coffee may have helped).

Fueled up, we explored every nook and cranny of the massive
convention center and previewed the Qua Spa.

Then its back to the room to dress up, nothing beats
a Vegas evening for energy and people watching.
