Spring Mowing

Vladi is ready to start some spring mowing.

Or, maybe he was just watching Uschi.

Hmmmm? Maybe this mowie isn't going to go,...

Our fur seal is relaxing on his Vera Bradleys.

Day In

Today was a mix of rain, sleet, and breaks of sunshine.  Tanji is

a little stressed about having to stay inside.  Maybe tomorrow...

Going, Going, Gone

There goes Tanji, running off trail.

Escape Artist

Vladi likes to occasionally shoot out the front door, and

then its a chase to catch and bring him back home.

V's a little bit peeved at being swooped up.

But we know he secretly likes the ride back too.

Shangri-La

If Shangi-La is a happy land nestled in a valley, we've got that :).

Uschi by the Pond

Uschi is carefully walking along the edge of the swollen east pond.

A slight touch from one paw, and gentle ripples run along the surface.

Followed quickly by a perfect reflection.

Cuddle Bunny

There is no doubt that Vladi is our cuddliest kitten.

Even when V is falling asleep, if you make any move...

Vladi's eyes pop back open.  Do you need me?

He's falling asleep again...

Did you move, did I miss anything? Does anybody want to play with me?

This can go on all night.

Pizza Piggie

Tanji has been especially wild the past few days,

including taking leaping bites at my pizza, licking mayonnaise

off a spoon, and then working it all off for hours on the wheel.

Activating V

Vladi likes someone chasing behind him on the trails.

If you say in an excited voice "gonna get ya,"

Vladi takes off sprinting or...

...springs into a tree.

"Whatcha doing Vladi?"

You can't see his lips moving, but V is trilling "meeeoooowww" back.

He's waiting for me to make a sudden move,

then V will take off running again, happy as can be.

Team Effort

For me to get art-time, and the boys to get out-time,
sometimes it takes a team effort.

So today while I've been inside updating my Merry Bright blog,

Mark has been outside entertaining Uschi.

 You can see how "pleased" Uschi looks now that I've joined them.

Even my arrival doesn't disrupt all of the kneading and purring.

Of course Uschi is not the only happy one.

 Walking back and forth together by the oak grove.

Man and his cat.  Its apparently a thing.

New Friend

Katy apparently has a new friend and he (or she) is a beauty.

Tanji's Plan

When we go outside, Tanji has a plan.

He reliably checks the front path (nobody visiting, check)...

Then T heads back to the house, starts the perimeter walk...

...and then spends a solid hour or so zig-zagging on the trails.

Valentines Day 2013

 Its been a beautiful Valentine's Day.

 Ferdinand posed with his flowers...

 ... and Vladi waited patiently for his treats.

It was a warm and sunny day and we enjoyed a long walk outside.

Tanji mushed a thank-you after we got back inside.

A decadent strawberry and chocolate cake for dessert.

Its days like this we remember how lucky we are.

 

Everyone has settled in for a documentary film about us.
