Sea Lions

Today we headed to the coast,...
The Newport port was full of hundreds of Sea Lions,...

Amazing,....

All big (up to 8' and 1000lbs) males,...

(The females stay in the warmer California waters)

Many were happily sleeping in what looked like a relocation cage,...

Mom and me on the calm pacific,...

ready to head home to see our own lions,...

Happy Grandmeow,... Now that is a big boy,...
(who sounds like a sea lion)

I'm fine thanks,... look but no touching.

(Actually, T let grandmeow pet him while he was in the catcup,...

The Boys Have Visitors

The boys don't get many visitors, we live a bit like hermits cozy in our one-room shack. This week my family is visiting from New York, and the boys have been little angels: getting pet, sitting nearby, meowing cutely (not yelling, I'm talking to you, Uschi!). We've been in too much shock to shoot photos, but here is the scene about 20 minutes after our visitors leave...

Tanji is flat in his couch cave...

And Vladi has passed out on a chair in the middle of the room,
dreaming and twitching with a big smile.

Tree Swirls

Uschi and I were walking in the Oak grove,...

Climbed high into an old favorite tree.

Daaad, I made it way up into this tree.

Coming down takes more concentration,...

Made it to the big lower branch,...

That is still a long way down,...

(I was reaching up as high as I could and U had his
