Vladi's Garden

Besides a few tomato pots, most of our gardening this summer

has been building Vladi's flowered fabric collection.

The bright colors and patterns are cheerful...

Vladi likes the way the super-soft fabrics feel under his

toes and belly.


V travels from one blanket/towel to the next, surveying his domain.

Usually there is a great deal of discussion about this.

Vladi now has too many goodies to protect, so when he leaves...

Tanji slips in, he likes soft things too.

He's Home!

As soon as Daaaaaaddddd walks in the door,

Uschi is there to say hi.

Tanji is already inspecting the travel bag.

A split second later, Vladi is on the scene.

Me too, Me too, Me too!

Uschi looks peeved and Tanji slinks away

while Vladi gets his share of attention.

Tanji poses for his petties then runs around squeaking,

showing off his bins and routes around the furniture.

Vladi has his new Vera Bradley blankets to share.

And of course, Uschi has to demonstrate his prowess on the wheel.

Things are already back to fun, calm, and normal. 

Alone With Meowme

The boys have had two weeks alone with me while Mark has been

away visiting family.  Needless to say, Uschi has taken it the hardest...

U has been really quiet, no 5 a.m. wake-up Uoostering, he's just

lolling around, barely batting at his favorite flyswatter.

Tanji let one parent escape, there's no way he's letting another one

get away.  So he's been following me everywhere and is back to

sleeping by my side like a little kitten.

Vladi has been the least impacted, he has a new garden of

Vera Bradley blankies and towels to escape to.

I've learned a few lessons: have plenty of "Dumb Cat" cleaner for

angry cat accidents, and lots of bribe treats for pouting kitties.

We've all settled down, just in time for their "Paw" to return today.

Caught in a Yawn

Uschi has had enough fresh air.

Its getting late, the light is fading...

...and someone needs a nap.

Time to go home.

Feeding the Fish

Tanji is giving a subtle reminder...

Its feeding time for the pond by the house.

Dozens of goldfish swoop in...

...and our one giant koi, Maui.


Vladi was here a second ago trying to drink pond water,

where did he disappear to?

Oops, caught turtling in the old kennel litter box,

we'll give him some privacy.

Biking with Vladi

 Vladi expects a few good solid hours of laptime every day,

and he's grumpily announcing we're falling behind.

I want to bike, Vladi wants to nap.

We all know who's going to win this argument.

Come Get Me

 Uschi is out on his "walk."

 He know he's being watched and starts wiggling for petties.

I'm just lying here all helpless...

He's getting a bit excited.

How can you resist me? (we can't)

Dash and Crash

 Tanji is slightly flat-lipped and kneading the bed,

its time to go out!

A quick tinkle to lighten the load (he hates going inside),

and T blurs into motion.

 Woo-hoooooo!

He's dashing as fast as he can, all over the trails.

And this is the result, an hour later
(that's Tanji's kitten blanket that came home with him from
Cheetahsden, its still holding up after all of these years)

The Good Life

Uschi is rolling and purring in the kitchen window,

he seems to understand the intricacies of living the good life.

Plush Plum Blankie

 Another present for us (meaning the boys).

 A plum color Vera Bradley throw blanket.  Nope Tanji,

you probably won't get much chance to roll around on this...

 Most likely, this will be dominated by the blankie piggie.

Within seconds of unfurling it on the bed...


...Vladi has arrived.

Mine, mine, mine!

 Oh, just as soft as the other one.

 A few delicate kneads...

...and then V is in it to win it.
