Spring Festivities

We were out looking for sweets to enjoy during
the Olympic Closing Ceremonies, as well as
the season finale of Downton Abbey, and
found a large decorated cookie.

Perfectly it had a festive greeting,...

The boys didn't show much interest in the cookie,
so they headed outside to explore their greening yard.

Tanji's Mallard Flyby

This spring we had a pair of Mallards almost take up residency
in our little pond, but they decided they liked the drainage
ditch next to the road better. >;-(

Super-T zoomed down the "duck pond" trail,...

Woooo Hoooo, right past the pond & ducks,...
(nice toe extension)

Springing into a favorite tree,...

Climbing hard,...

The female watched Tanji the entire time,...

Returning to Earth,...

Zooooming right back past the pond,...

Stretching out headed off trail.

Through some lupines,...

Into another tree,...

Dismounting,... and

the Mallards kept on swimming.
