Spring Festivities

We were out looking for sweets to enjoy during
the Olympic Closing Ceremonies, as well as
the season finale of Downton Abbey, and
found a large decorated cookie.

Perfectly it had a festive greeting,...

The boys didn't show much interest in the cookie,
so they headed outside to explore their greening yard.

Belated Birthday

We are bad, bad parents.

Vladi turned four years old a month ago (June 6)
and somehow we completely missed it (at least we blogged about him).

So this year we will be celebrating multiple Vladi birthdays,
starting with his four year-one month birthday...

Wake up Birthday Boy, its time for a mini-cupcake.

Ears back means Vladi is excited. Lick, lick, lick.

V is licking sprinkles off the floor, he must still be hungry...

How 'bout gourmet turkey for the Mature Adult?

Yesterday was "my" birthday, but of course
that really means gifts for all the boys of the house...

This lights up Uschi's wheel, litterbox, scratching post,
scratching boxes, pom-pom toy, and Vera Bradley nest.

Hunt For Mom's Day Cake

We are enjoying a typical Oregon spring,

Minute to minute switches from cold to warm,
from dark to sunny, from clear to rain to hail,
A still warm ambient air with a biting cold wind,...

Despite or maybe because of this,
the boys have been excited to head outside.

Today we were on a quest,... to find cake.

T and Les headed South to look,...

Vladi-Cake

Of course we got a Vladi-Cake to
celebrate out little two-year-old...

Vladi intently studies the layers of mint and chocolate.

Munching is fun, but even more fun...

... is grabbing a paw-full of cake...

... and licking the claws clean.

Vladi is "patiently" waiting for more fun.

The cake had a little diploma with ribbon on top

and even the diploma gets a licking.

That was a good first course,

Now its time for dinner.

Someone's bad Mom can't resist putting
the ribbon in his hair.

Vladi has had enough fun, and heads to the kennel.
