Its Vladi's birthday (day #3), and he woke up from a nap

to find "his" window decorated with yummy catnip plants.

  

Hey, someone else has snuck into the catnip patch...

Vladi is not quite ready to share his gifts with anyone else.

 Nipped up, Vladi is unstoppable.

 Time to bring the partying down a notch with dinner...

...and a movie.

Happy Birthday Vladi

Vladi is five years old!

He is pretty much the same boy we fell in love with when we met him,

(except mushier) and he will always be a kitten to us.

 We celebrated with a walk outside

(not sure he appreciated the paparazzi following close behind).

Resting in a shady spot.

Someone is coming...

Tanji must have known it was a special day for Vladi,

he stuck around a while to play under the picnic bench.

 

Back inside Vladi wolfed down his dinner,

and offered to "help" Uschi with his share.

Don't worry Vladi, we got you a treat...

 

A cupcake!  Wait don't lick this one...

 That's the one!

Hey, those are for the rest of us (oh,well).

Warm, buttered biscuits too, another favorite goodie.

 A little bit of petting, and it was time...

 ...for sweet dreams.

Where's Tanji?

On our walks Tanji likes to walk the perimeter (of 10 acres)

and then zig-zag up and down the center trails.

Sometimes we see him from a distance...

 At one moment he's far away, and the next moment...

He sneaks right up on you.

Get ready, get set...

 Zoom!

 Whoosh!

Up a tree...

 Spraying lupines...

 

 And visiting for a few pets.

 

Tanji can travel the trails for hours...

But now its time to go home.

Beautiful Day

We have been having a gorgeous spring,

its been busy, but thanks to the boys needing their walks,

we have an excuse for getting outside on a regular basis.

This weekend we had warm, humid, summery weather.

Perfect for resting and recovering.

Uschi is in his favorite shade spot.

Vladi is chattering away, he wants attention...

Uschi isn't interested.

That's better, a little one-on-one Dad time.

Watching for Tanji, who has too much energy

to sit around on a beautiful day out.
