current "best sellers" and have been powering through them.

Birthday Fun

This is Les' birthday week >:-)
Of course we have cake (oreo cookie),
but the boys are focused on presents...

Are these for me?

The spotted boys give a good sniff.

Uschi and Vladi are ready to open them up.

Vladi is pretty excited.

Les gently pulls her present free of little mitten paws.

Les and Tanj unwrap the gift together.

Its professional watercolor paints!
Uschi is acting disinterested, but we're not fooled.

"Can I play too?"

WOO-HOO!

There is another unopened present,
and Usch has his eye right on it.

Huggies.

And a little bit of kicking...

Uschi, stop biting that present right now!

Les tries to get her gift back...

"Nooooo, its miiiiinnnnnne!"

Look Usch, its paintbrushes to go with the paints!

"Mmmm, these could be fun toys too!"

Uschi Belly

On rainy days, the boys like to be entertained...

Three pairs of eager eyes are on the feather wand.

Uschi flips on his back, he can be a laid-back hunter.

Substituting the pickle-toy for the feathers...

Uschi figures out that laying on his back is fun too.

What?? This is comfy!

Uschi Pickle

Uschi has been very kitten-like lately, and he often attacks the kick-pickle toy for no apparent reason. Maybe he is imagining that it is Vladi waking him up for lickies, or Tanji waking him up to wrestle. Or maybe he is picturing me or Les not letting him chase birdies outside. Whatever the reason, Uschi loves to pickle...

"What's this? Did that pickle just look at me funny?"

Attack!

Uschi is kicking the pickle like crazy
with his powerful back feet.
Kick, kick, kick.

What'cha got Uschi?

"Mine, all mine!"

"I love my pickle!"

All of this pickling has tired Uschi out.

Time for a nap with his buddy.

Vladi Rules

Play with me!

Later today we'll post a blog on how Vladi is getting along with his brothers. We are sure this little charmer will eventually win them over, just like he has already conquered us. All kittens can be fantastic, but we are blown away by how calm, brave, and totally affectionate little Vladi has been. He also has impeccable habits...

Let's get this cleaned up!

Scratching post, ..... check!

We have a few chairs with seats covered in heavy fabric that kitties
can confuse with scratching material. Vladi tried to scratch one,
and when we moved him to a scratching box, he got the message.

Vladi can clean his plate (again and again).

Vladi grooms himself well and also seems to
like to rub against this bristle brush toy.

There are also plenty of naps. Apparently Vladi
can sleep anywhere, anytime.

He is certainly an adventurer,

The toy box has been thoroughly examined.

Uschi's octopus is a favorite...

as is his feather toy.

Checking Tanj's kick-pickle.
He's so small, he's just kicking the end!

Glitterballs are a hit...

As are Tanj's furry mice.

Mmmmm, this is so soft.

Best of all are the red feathers.
First comes a tentative touch...

Then the claws come out...
