Daddy's Boy Uschi

Moouschi, loves his belly rubbed.

When I get close to him he flashes me mushy eyes, gives a little meow and rolls his head under revealing a little belly. If I take the bait, the motor kicks on and the "Uschi-roll" continues, exposing more belly. A bit more petting and all four legs are stretched out and the front paws start kneading the air.

Okay, if you must,...

do you need a bit more access?

Daaad, I don't know if you saw me,...

Don't go,...

keep that hand on my belly,

that's MY good daaad.

I knead you.

Fluff Tails

One of the many cool things about Bengal Cats is that they have great tail expression. I grew up with cats but never saw them fluff their tails or give obvious signals with them, besides the tail flick associated with, "back-off,... I've had enough petting." Tail fluffing was always a thing of story books or Halloween pictures. Our boys fluff up their tails regularly and certainly communicate with them. Sometimes the noticable (to us) displays are given during play, while strolling around, running, sometimes after a good run, or maybe when a good scent is found, or just a notice of I'm here." Uschi regularly signals by pointing his tail straight up, revealing his light under-tail counter shading.

Tanji's long "stick" tail fluffed.

Uschi's "bristle-brush" tail fluffed.
Pretty cool you can see the tail bone structure when
the fur is standing straight out from it.

You just know T is telling Uschi something.

Here I come, look at my tail

Wrestle Mania III

The boys are always wrestling
and running around the house.

Typically, it starts as nice licking which rapidly moves to quiet wrestling then Tanj gets totally worked up and rapidly escalates things. Soon it is an all out running, banging, screaming, growling, hissing battle. Uschi is the one that gets chased around most of the time. He hisses and yells all the way with Tanj tracking him closely and jumping on him. At first this is funny and we think they are enjoying themselves, however, after about 5 minutes of these awful sounds coming out of Uschi we start to question our logic and feel the need to help Uschi out,... so we discourage Tanji's efforts. Both boys know what we are doing, Tanj quickly backs off and Uschi seems all happy. Then, a little while later we notice that Uschi is taunting Tanj. He wiggles on his back, and/or chirps at him, and/or seductively waves his tail at Tanj, who is doing his best to "be good." Soon, however, if Tanj doesn't take the bait, Uschi will pounce on Tanj. When Uschi becomes the aggressor, things are different. Tanj doesn't hiss much at him but yelps his little pitiful sounding high pitched squeals.

Gottcha'

Take down.

Watch it,..!

I'm outta' here !

Uschi, get back here!

TANJ !!

Whaaat,... ?!!
He likes this,...

Okay,...
I'll try to calm down,

in the window with my fluff tail.

Soon the Uschi wiggle is on,...

Ohh Nooo, Pooor meee

GrrrreeeEEEeeeRRRRreeeerrrRRRrrrr!

Uschi's Turn

I want to go outside,.... NOW!!!

Since we have a "back-log" of shots taken with our point and
shoot we will be "using them up" over the next week or so,
then our goal is to mix photos taken with the D80
and the point and shoot "seamlessly."
This blog will be a random mix of Uschi-Swirl pictures.

Before heading outside Uschi almost always runs on the wheel.
We call it his warm up. As the harnesses come out,
the boys get excited and

Uschi heads to the wheel.

He is funny because he meows and
purrs while "warming up."

Once outside, U posed on my boot,

and on the garbage can, before

finding a dead bird,...
(window crash victim)

He wanted the feathers.
(we took it away, much to his disapointment)

You can pet my chin,...

and/or my belly,...

Whaaattt, is that?

"Art Critic"

This balloon keeps following me around.

Nice stretch,...

Bird watching is,...

exhausting.
